Helpful Tips: Breevy
There is a productivity rule that says, “If you do it more than once, you need to make it efficient”. At Starlight Social, we are focused on working as effectively as possible and want you to, too! Sometimes that means streamlining a process with an SOP, a new process for existing procedures, but today we want to share with you an effective way to save time when it comes to typing.
Do you find yourself typing similar things during the day? Maybe every follow-up email is structured similarly, or every sales email starts the same way. However you find yourself typing out the same message, now you can make a template that will auto-fill using Breevy!
Breevy is a text-expander and Auto Text text replacement program that helps you type faster and more accurately by allowing you to abbreviate long words and phrases - saving your time and money. Best yet, it is so easy to use!
All you need to do is:
Think of a word or phrase that you often type or find cumbersome to type or remember - your address, an email signature, a complex word, sales pitch, etc.
Tell Breevy the abbreviation that you’d rather type in place of that word or phrase - such as add or itj.
Whenever you’d like to type the entire word or phrase, instead type the abbreviation you made for it and Breevy will automatically and instantly replace it for you with its corresponding word, phrase, or boilerplate.
You can launch applications, websites, files and folders using Breevy. It even syncs with Dropbox and can import and sync with your TextExpander snippets. It's an awesome and non-intrusive way to amp up your productivity.
Here are some of my favorite words and phrases I use Breevy to help with:
Nnm = Fills in Name
Adrs = Fills in Address
Schd = “If the aforementioned time and date work for you, please let me know and I will send a calendar event for confirmation.”
Ify = “If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I would be happy to help in any way possible.”
Tysm = “Thank you for such a speedy response!”
